This coming Sunday, 20th September, is our monthly All Age Service led by Jill Yates.
As always this will be a challenging and enjoyable service. The theme this time, asks the question “Can these bones live?”
Afterwards tea, coffee and cakes are being served with a voluntary donation towards towards the excellent work of MacMillan Cancer Support. This is our contribution to the World’s biggest coffee morning raising funds for this charity.
If you are moving into the area we give you a special welcome to the Oasis. This is the time of year when so many people move around the country – especially to university. Please come and introduce yourselves to us!
Each year for the best part of a decade, we have been involved with Samaritan’s Purse and Shoe Boxes. To help fund this, and for a great evening of fun and entertainment, we are holding our Quiz Night. This is on Saturday 10th October at 6.30pm for 7pm start. Tickets cost just £5 and this includes soft drinks and a chip cob supper. Special rates are available for families and students. Tickets can be purchased from our Administrator Sharon Asquith on 0115 9255463 or on the door on the night.
Our shoe box workshop is on Sunday 8th November when, after the morning service we will share lunch, please bring your own packed lunch, we’ll provide drinks! Then we will be wrapping, packing, praying and preparing the shoe boxes ready for the shoe box service on Sunday 15th November.
Hope you join us in these events.
Every good wish
