This Monday, 20th April, we began the re-roofing project at our administration and pastoral care office at Number one, Willoughby Street. The months of strategic planning have now been realised. No longer will we be subject to leaks – even occasional leaks when the rain and wind were coming in the wrong direction or angle!!
I write this blog to the exciting sound of scaffolders decking the building out, the delivery lorry bringing tiles and all the necessary kit plus the noise of slates beginning to be removed from the roof at the rear of the building!
We thank the Lord for His Goodness to us! The sun is shining and we pray that the weather remains favourable for the next three weeks, the projected duration that the project will take to complete.
I thank The Lord for the wonderful congregation here at Oasis, who, through their faithful giving have once again enabled this project to go ahead – the bill fully funded by them.
This coming Sunday , during the 10:30am communion service, I will be continuing our current preaching/teaching series entitled “Lift Jesus Up! – Walk with God!” by declaring “On the path of thankfulness!”
“Thankfulness” brings us into a special place with God and enables us to release a positive spirit, through our lives, into the lives of those around us. The Psalmist, Asaph, in Psalm 50:23 shares his experience in God “Giving thanks in a sacrifice that truly honours Me. If you keep to My path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God.”……..Exciting!
God will Bless us as we “Lift Jesus Up!” Walk with Him! On the path of thankfulness!
With every good wish,
