January 2009 From The Pastor's Desk.....

May The Lord Jesus Christ Bless you with a Healthy; Fruitful and Fulfilling 2009!!!

This is a year of opportunity. Our theme, at Oasis Christian Centre, Beeston is:-

"Redeem The Time Throughout 2009!!!"

The Scripture that this is based on is found in Ephesians 5:16a, taken from the Amplified Bible:-

"Making The Most of The Time - Buying Up Each Opportunity."

During a time of prayer at our Annual Fellowship Meeting, last Tuesday, 13th January, The Holy Spirit gave me a picture of a hinge on a door that had seized up. Oil was poured onto the hinge and the door eased open..... For many reasons our hinges can seize up - being comfortable with the status quo; living with a hurtful statement about our ministry; feeling of being 'overlooked'; disobedience to The Word of God; refusal to tithe and give offerings. The list could go on, but, The Holy Spirit wants to pour Himself into our life situations - the hinge - enabling us to flow in Him, with Him, deal with any issues and open the door fully to what The Lord is wanting us to do.

Don't resist The Holy Spirit. Don't offend The Holy Spirit. Receive a fresh filling of The Holy Spirit, moment by moment and flow in The Power, Presence, Passion of Jesus.

May we be open to all The Lord has on His agenda for us to be involved with, and to become, through 2009!!!
