May The Lord Jesus Christ bless you.

From The Pastor's Desk - March 2009.............

We are seeing the signs of Spring here in Nottingham. The snow drops are in full bloom. Daffodils are growing and pink blossom can be seen on some trees.

The Apostle Paul encourages us to "Rejoice in The Lord always, again I say Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near."

With Easter fast approching Forget-Me-Notts have purchased 450 Easter Eggs for children & young people in Notts. They are currently in the office - Pastor Ryan and I are resisting the temptation!! On Sunday morning, 15th March, we will be labelling them, as part of our worship, praying over them and for the recipients.

On Saturday 21st we are hosting an "Envisioning Morning". Over recent years our links with Simon Foulds and The Bible Society have deepened. This morning begins with coffee at 9am and ends with lunch at 12.30pm. Bob Rideout, who fellowships with us, will be sharing his experience in Ghana where he experienced first hand The Bible Society's ministry and handed Bibles to Secondary School young people.

Elim International Missions is holding a week of prayer: 23rd - 30th March. Caroline Cooper, who will lead our Prayer Focus on Sunday evening of 22nd will be sharing information. Everyone is welcome. For more info. visit Elim Missions Prayer Week

We continue to seek to support our local community whereever possible. Pat is co-ordinating "Make a Card for Cancer Care" to support Marie Curie. Everyone is welcome to come to the Oasis between 10am and 12 noon on Saturday 7th March to make cards!

May the physical arrival of Spring be matched by a spiritual arrival of Spring in our lives.

With every good wish, Pastor Nigel
