Summer Blog from the Pastor's Desk...........

Life at the Oasis is never dull!! Pray for us as we enter another transitional period.

Pastor Ryan and Vicky are leaving us at the end of July. Ryan is taking up the post of Assistant Pastor at the Elim Pentecostal Church in Ballyclare, Northern Ireland.

Pastor Steve Crosse will be joining us here at Oasis, as Assistant Pastor, in September. Steve, who is 28, has worked with Youth For Christ; served Elim International Missions in Kosovo (for 13 months); Attended Regents Theological College School of Ministry and is currently serving as Youth Pastor at Elim Driffield.

Steve will have the brief to develop 18 to 30s Ministry here at Oasis; strenghten the youth work; preach and generally assist in all aspects of the church.

Steve's girlfriend, Erica, commences a PGCE in September.

On Wednesday Pastor Nigel and Jeff travel to Guyana, with Pastor Trevor & Graham, visiting the Elim Pentecostal churches there - preaching and encouraging. Please remember us in prayer. We return on Friday 3rd July.

On Saturday 11th July we are taking part in Beeston's Carnival. Our theme is "The Joy of The Lord is our Strength." We will be dressing up (those who want to) as Clowns.

On Saturday 5th September we are joining with local churches in Beeston & Chilwell to declare "Hope In The Park" as part of our expression for Jesus: "HOPE NG9". Saturday will be a day given free to the community with lots of activities and free beef burgers etc. We'll keep you updated!!
