Easter 2010

Easter Celebration is a reminder for all of us that Jesus died and rose again!

Easter is a great time of Celebration for the Christian and Christian Church. A time when we look back to these wonderful historical events. Jesus came to pay the penalty for our sins, upon the cross. Laying down His sinless life so that we could know the eternal forgiveness of God and enter into a Personal Relationship with God The Father through Jesus.

Good Friday is a day to reflect on the love of God. Father gave His Son: Jesus gave His Life.

Locally in Beeston a March of Witness is taking place from Broadgate Park, gathering at 11am for Worship. Followed by a Walk of Witness along the High Road, following the Cross. Followed by an Act of Worship at the foot of the Cross.

Oasis is holding "Open House" for Soup and a Roll; Hot Cross Bun; Tea; Coffee; Juice; Mince Pies and Custard - for a donation. (Open House 10am to 1pm) on Friday.

Easter Sunday morning we celebrate The Truth declared by the Angel (Luke 24: 5a - 6a) "Why do you seek The Living One among the dead? He is not here, but He is Risen!" At Oasis, 10.30am, Pastor Steve will be leading us in Communion. Children's and youth group 'The Flow' are meeting as usual - come and join us!!

May each of us take time to reflect on The Love of God. The Gift of God. The Freedom of God. And may we live in The Truth of this every day of the year - not just Easter.

With every good wish,

Pastor Nigel
