What is APEST

APEST, or sometimes referred to as the ‘Fivefold Ministry,’ is a series of personal gifting given to each Christian to enable them to glorify and grow the Kingdom of God. Paul says in his letter to the Church in Ephesus

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

As we dive deeper into our identity in Christ, we must ensure that we understand our own calling and personality. Some love to talk about Jesus to everyone they meet. Some love to engage with the spiritual side of the world and can hear and discern the voice of God. Other’s may love to care for people and so on.

We are each different an it’s important that we learn more about our God-given identity in order to outwork our faith fully. At the start of 2026, Beeston Oasis will journey together to understand one another better, to grow in the unity of church life so we can be effective in reaching Beeston for the Gospel.
