#ALIGHTINBEESTON

We’re so excited to be able to partner with Beeston Light Night this year. As a church we endeavour to be a positive influence in our community, a safe space for those who need it.

As Christians we believe that Jesus is the light of the world, we believe it because He told us “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” Have you ever felt that the world can seem like quite a dark place? We see tragedies around the globe and we see people do some pretty bad stuff and we ask how can this be? Jesus says ‘I am the light of the world’ because even when all around us can seem dark and dim, we can have a hope in Him, that he can light up those dark places.

But how does he do this? One way Jesus uses his light is by shining it in us, that as the light shines in us we take moments of reflection on who we are and how we can become better, so that in turn, our world will become better because we will then be able to take a brighter light into our communities that need it.

If you would like to find out more about Jesus and our church, you can join us on a Sunday morning at 10:30am.
