The Church doesn’t have a mission, the mission of God has a church…Ed Seltzer

Here at Beeston Oasis, we try to follow the call of God which has been placed on all Christians, to make His name known. We try and do that in 3 simple ways.

1. Worship God - Jesus was asked which was the most important commandment given to God’s people. His response was that the most important thing we could do was to love God with our heart, soul, mind and strength (Mark 12:30). Our worship of God comes first and foremost to us.

2. Preach Good News - Jesus asked us to preach and proclaim the gospel to the whole of creation (Mark 16:15). It’s our aim to authentically tell of what God has done and is doing in our lives.

3. Serve The Community - It’s Jesus’ desire that His Church will serve those at their point of need. Jesus teaches us that as we feed the hungry, clothe the naked, give shelter to the homeless and care for the sick then it’s as if we were doing it for Jesus directly. We want to be known for our love and service to our community and our world.

In all aspects of what we do, whether you attend our Sunday service or any of our midweek activities, we strive…

– To be welcoming to people of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities.

– To be practical and relevant.

– To help people answer their deepest questions.

– To bring helpful and challenging ministry offering time to stop and think.

– To offer the chance for a new start, discovering God’s love, acceptance and forgiveness.

– To help Christians on their journey of faith, discovering their calling, gifts and talents as they develop a deeper love for God.
